CORONAVIRUS LANDMARK UPDATE
Barry McCann - 1Days
I hope you are all keeping well and safe.
As the Covid 19 virus outbreak continues please see update on building services , guidance and assistance needed.
The companies that collect all refuse were on strike last week . We went without general waste collection or recycling for 14 days. Thankfully we had a general waste collection yesterday which took some but not all our general waste. We still have not had a recycling collection. As I hope you'll appreciate during this time the resident bin stores were kept to their usual standards. In order to do this the team had to repack general waste onto sealed bags and bale all carboard by hand. Our collections have still not returned to normal. We are still taking measures to maximise space for refuse and keep it stored as safe as possible as we are unsure if there will be further disruptions to the collections.
Some residents are bringing unsealed general waste to the bin room and leaving it there with little care the for other residents or the team who need to clean it up.
Please follow the below:
• General waste and recycling to be separated
• General waste to be in sealed bags
• General waste goes in green bins
• Recycling goes in purple bins
• Boxes can be flattened and left on the floor
Should you be showing symptoms of the virus please follow the government guidelines and keep your waste in your apartment.
Every effort should be made to personally accept your parcels when they are delivered. If your delivery is accepted by the concierge you will no longer need to sign for it on collection. It will still be recorded on the system as normal but concierge will mark it as received via the computer.
Please sanitise keys when giving back to concierge. As with parcels we will not be asking for these to be signed in and out but it will still be reordered on the system.
Contact with onsite team
Please keep 2 meters from all onsite team members. Please be extra vigilant when interacting with the concierge team. We have blocked off part of the concierge area to ensure they can keep adequate distance. Items being handed over should be left on the desk for the other party to pick up.
All servicing and repairs will be postponed until further notice.
Contingency plans are being finalised should we be in a position where we can only maintain critical services with a skeleton staff. This may involve closing the concierge desks.
